Rural Campus News 10/1/19

Thank you so much to Class F for their time at the Land School last week, immersing themselves as a community in stewardship (butternut squash and potato harvests, shallot processing, llama/sheep pen cleaning, food preserving), activity (Earth Art, mushroom searching, wool work), and exploration of the diverse environments. Plus, we shared in the tasty Class F tradition of making fries!

Going Outs started last week, with Doug Alecci bringing the first group of E1 students to the Land School! It was a delight to see everyone around, in and amongst the Overnighters! Thank you for harvesting the mini pumpkins for the Harvest Festival!  And keep on coming!!

Welcome tomorrow to Class G, coming for their Fall 3-day visit! We look forward to collaborating together to prepare for the Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 5th!

Market! Today! The first frost has yet to strike this season, so summery produce is still hanging around! Come join in the fun in the Front Lot from 4-6pm! And check out the Land School Blog for recipes and more stories!

HARVEST FESTIVAL!  This Saturday! 11am-4pm! Volunteer opportunities abound (see above in Volunteer Opportunity section!)! Potluck (no nuts!)! Music! Cider! Community!!!
